In this episode of The Dive Locker Podcast we learn techniques to effectively teach defogging diving masks.
Welcome To The Show!
Welcome to The Dive Locker Podcast, the podcast for dive professionals where we bring you the latest in diving industry resources that make you excellent at teaching techniques, risk management and dive business.
One of the earliest things we teach in any beginning diver class is how to defog a mask. And it seems pretty simple and straightforward. In fact, most dive pro’s I see teach this, just ignore some of the finer points of defogging that could help a student UNDERSTAND what’s taking place. There is truly technique to defogging a mask and even though you have done it hundreds or thousands of times, you’ll learn something that can bless your students.
In today’s short and sweet episode, We’ll discuss what’s happening in the mask, solutions and agents to use, and the best practices of not only defogging a mask, but in pre-treating a new mask for its first use.
