In this episode of The Dive Locker Podcast we learn about all the new and improved training programs of Divers Alert Network with Jim Gunderson.
Welcome To The Show!
Welcome to The Dive Locker Podcast, the podcast for dive professionals where we bring you the latest in diving industry resources that make you excellent at teaching techniques, risk management and dive business.
Divers Alert Network has been up to some big changes in their training programs. Not only have they had significant updates to their existing programs, but they are also launching new ones.
To discuss all these offerings I caught up with Jim Gunderson the Director of Training at DAN at the DEMA Show last month. Jim at one time was a ski patrol medic, then scuba took over and he rose through the ranks becoming NAUI’s training manager in 2016 and now DAN’s Director of Training. Jim truly is a trainer of trainers at the highest degree, and an overall great guy.
And after the interview I’m going tell you about implementing DAN training – especially Diving First Aid for Professionals DFAPro – into your course offerings, and why it is of such benefit.
