In this episode of The Dive Locker Podcast we learn the importance of and how to implement photo releases in our dive businesses.
Welcome To The Show!
Welcome to The Dive Locker Podcast, the podcast for dive professionals where we bring you the latest in diving industry resources that make you excellent at teaching techniques, risk management and dive business.
With the rise of social media, now more than ever, we take photos of others and share them with others. However, when those photos are taken and posted under certain conditions, you may be liable for using someone’s image improperly. If someone’s image is used to assist in marketing a business or a brand, such as on a website, newsletter, email blast or social marketing accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others, they may have a right to compensation for the use of their image. That’s why you need a photo release.
