In this episode of The Dive Locker Podcast we look at how physical stressors lead to many critical issues when diving.
Welcome To The Show!
Welcome to The Dive Locker Podcast, the podcast for dive professionals where we bring you the latest in diving industry resources that make you excellent at teaching techniques, risk management and dive business.
Last week we discussed psychological stress and how it plays a part in learning and teaching. But there is an area of stress that is far more overlooked. And that is physical stressors.
Your training agency materials talk more about mental stress than physical stress. But I will prove to you how the pathology of most diving accidents stem from physical stressors. This starts a chain reaction of physiological changes and they can trigger mental stressors as well.
This will change the way you teach Rescue Diver, the way you teach Divemaster and this will change you as a Divemaster and/or instructor. This one episode is worth an entire year of being a patron of this podcast – it has that much value!
